Grok Bot Templates: Import & Share
A Grok Bot template gives you a starting role and workflow. Inspect the shared configuration, add a copy to your account, and adapt it to one real task before you publish or schedule anything.
Independent guide based on linked official documentation. Examples below are suggested workflows, not product benchmark results.
Where to find Grok Bot templates
Start with the Grok Bot template directory and filter by the work you want to finish. Open a detail page to inspect its creator, source, available instructions, skills and routines. A template with a specific output is easier to evaluate than a broad promise to do everything.
You can also browse the official marketplace ↗. In this directory, “Link verified” records that the source was reachable when checked; it does not report a workflow test. Read the source yourself and treat missing configuration as unknown.
How to add a shared Grok Bot
Open the public share link, inspect the preview on x.ai and choose Add to Grok Bot. You need the app to add the copy. A share transfers the exposed configuration, not the creator’s computer, browser logins or conversation history. Shared Bot behavior ↗
If you have not installed the app, follow the download and setup guide first. Use your own authorized connections for any service the workflow needs.
Adapt the template before its first run
We suggest reviewing five items: the role, input sources, output format, tool dependencies and actions that need your review. Replace vague instructions with a small acceptance check.
For this copy, use only the three public URLs I provide. Produce a weekly research draft with source links and a section for unknowns. Do not send the draft anywhere. Ask me before adding a new source or changing the schedule.
This is a suggested adaptation, not a quoted marketplace template. Run it once on a small sample and check every source. If the Bot needs a service you do not use, revise that dependency before turning on a routine. Our skills and routines guide explains the next step.
A practical pre-share checklist
- Replace private customer names, internal URLs and account identifiers with clear placeholders.
- Remove passwords, tokens and confidential text from every configuration field.
- State the expected inputs, output and required connections.
- Review included routine schedules and external actions.
- Try the public instructions on a non-confidential sample and record what you actually tested.
Give a recipient enough context to reproduce the intended workflow without access to your files. If you list your template here, use Submit a Bot with its public share URL and an accurate description. Submission enters review; it does not immediately publish a directory listing.
